The Role

The Town Planner will be responsible for managing and delivering planning projects across a variety of sectors. Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
Conducting site appraisals, research, and feasibility studies
Drafting planning statements and policy documents
Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and communities
Keeping up to date with planning legislation and policy changes
Supporting senior colleagues on complex development projects

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in Town Planning or a related field
Experience working in a planning consultancy, local authority, or developer environment
A strong understanding of the UK planning system and relevant policies
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
A proactive and problem-solving approach
MRTPI qualification (or working towards it) is desirable
