This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, energetic and creative individual to join our central Digital Marketing team to support and take responsibility for a broad range of marketing activities, primarily across our growing retail events portfolio. This hands-on role will require initiative and be accountable for the planning and implementation of digital marketing campaigns to drive high value entrants, delegates, and sponsorship to on/offline events.

The role involves identifying key audiences within our relevant markets, alongside developing marketing strategies and campaigns to reach them. You will look at innovative ways to promote our events to increase attendance and maximise commercial opportunities, coordinating your activity with various stakeholders within the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • A-Z Marketing Campaigns: Planning and delivering market-leading digital marketing campaigns for our B2B events.
  • Email Marketing: Building and sending engaging promotional emails. This will involve designing, copywriting, data selection, sending campaigns, tracking and reporting on performance.
  • Website Updates: Ensuring our event websites are always up to date, on-brand, and looking their best.
  • Sales & Marketing Material: Producing visual, informative marketing assets such as media kits and digital brochures.
  • Web Analytics: Analysing website traffic and the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Social media: Executing social media activities to build community and raise engagement across our events.
  • Lead Generation: Assisting our commercial teams by providing them with qualified leads.
  • Digital Support: Supporting the Digital Marketing Manager across a broad range of marketing activities.

What you'll need:

  • To be digitally proficient, with a demonstrable passion for digital marketing.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle concurrent projects.
  • The ability to communicate confidently and effectively. Must have excellent written communication skills, with the ability to adapt your tone and style for a variety of audiences.
  • To be a creative thinker, with a strong attention to detail and an eye for design.
  • To be a proactive self-starter who can work individually and within a team.
  • To be familiar with MS Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with design software such as Adobe Photoshop/XD or similar would be ideal.
  • An understanding of HTML, email marketing and web analytics is advantageous, but not essential.
