Pay Range/details: £43,000 per annum

Omega are supporting a leading provider of heat treatment and advanced materials services, to find a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer on a day shift. This exciting opportunity involves maintaining and improving plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical maintenance, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer

Conduct routine maintenance on plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, implementing effective solutions.
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and upgrades of equipment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, following company procedures and industry standards.
Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement maintenance strategies that enhance operational efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment performance, ensuring all data is up to date.
Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems, providing technical expertise as required.

Qualifications & Requirements - Maintenance Engineer

Electrical qualification is essential together with mechanical aptitude.
Flexibility to working hours to react to breakdowns/contractor supervision etc.
City & Guilds/BTEC Qualification in Engineering or similar.
