Job Description: Number 1 Site Manager - Croydon

We are recruiting for a Number 1 Site Manager to join a well-known and busy house builder. The successful candidate will oversee the construction of 8 traditional build houses, each 2 and a half stories, in Croydon. The project is at the demolition stage and will run until the end of 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage all aspects of the site, from groundworks through to final handover.

* Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team to ensure the build is delivered on time and to the highest standards.

* Oversee health and safety protocols and ensure all site activities comply with regulations.

* Conduct quality inspections and monitor work progress against the project plan.

* Handle any on-site issues or changes in design or specification, ensuring smooth communication between all stakeholders.

* Attend regular site meetings and provide updates to the senior management team.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Number 1 Site Manager, preferably on similar traditional build residential projects.

* Strong understanding of groundworks, construction methods, and health and safety.

* Excellent leadership and communication skills.

* Ability to drive a project from start to finish while maintaining quality and safety standards.

* Long-term career mindset, as there are several large projects in the pipeline beyond this role.
