Salary: £35,000

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.

As the Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for working closely with a team of multi-disciplined engineers and multi-skilled shift craftspeople. Hours of work will be 7am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 1pm Friday

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maximising plant up time and minimise plant down time.
Communicating at all levels of engineering and production departments the status of plants and ongoing projects
Investigating, reporting, and resolving repetitive engineering faults
Providing technical support to all departments ensuring safe and efficient maintenance
Maintaining the maintenance system logs, follow up actions, fault, and diagnosis.
Carrying out risk assessments, issuing permits to work and supervising engineering contractors
Designing, building, and commissioning control system upgrades and plant improvement projects
Carrying out inspection and testing of electrical installations and portable appliances
Organising and supervising planned work.
Skills and Qualifications:

Have strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, ideally with relevant qualifications such as IOSH/NEBOSH (Preferred)
Hold previous experience working within a large site building, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Have excellent people management skills. Previous roles could include being a team leader, supervisor, or manager.
17th / 18th edition.
