The primary school in Wandsworth is a vibrant and inclusive community dedicated to providing exceptional education and support to its students. We are currently seeking a compassionate and proactive LSA (Learning Support Assistant) to join our team for September.

The Role: Learning Support Assistant

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of students, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN). Your role will involve working closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure that all students have access to a high-quality education tailored to their individual needs.

Main Duties:

Assisting the class teacher in delivering targeted support to students with SEN.
Working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
Adapting learning materials and teaching methods to suit different learning styles.
Providing emotional and social support to help students engage fully in school life.
Assisting with the preparation and organization of classroom activities and resources.
Monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Supporting students during classroom activities, breaks, and extracurricular activities.Requirements:

Experience in a similar role, especially working with children with SEN, is preferred.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN are an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
A strong commitment to the safety and well-being of children.
