The Role:
The Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician position will be part of our tight-knit Operations Team, reporting to the Production Manager.
This will be a supportive role for the Production Manager, and the wider production team. This role will aid the organisation with its key objective to provide robust & high-quality products, whilst helping deliver its growing order book.
With the necessary training provided, the Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician would be able to build all products in the Cygnus range and take ownership of certain product builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute electro-mechanical assembly and sub-assembly in all product areas as trained.
- Solder components/wires to circuit boards.
- Operate manual tools, power tools and simple machinery used in mechanical sub-assembly.
- Assemble pre-populated printed circuit boards into final product units.
- Read, interpret and follow work instructions, simple blueprints, and other written material.
- Recognize electrical components and basic functions.
- Use a variety of chemicals for bonding, encapsulation and overmoulding.
- Follow basic quality assurance procedures/requirements.
- Perform other duties as required in the role
Skills and experience required
- Competent with basic hand tools
- Basic soldering skills
- Use basic electronic assembly techniques
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Must be able to multitask and stop/start a variety of jobs as required
- Be responsible and conscientious
