Purchase Ledger Clerk - £24k - £28k - Wellingborough

Contract Plant Rental deliver bespoke, comprehensive contract plant rental solutions designed to meet the diverse needs of our clients on an individual basis.  We offer medium and long term rental opportunities of plant and equipment, concentrating on the “Heavy” end of the Construction, Aggregate and Waste handling market requirements; providing full on-going support, optimising the productivity, efficiency and safety of all the equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience in using SAGE Accounts.
Answering queries from suppliers' internal managers concerning invoices and payments.
Various data analysis/record keeping of accounts for year-end information.
Input Purchase Invoices & Credit notes into the data processing software.
Extensive knowledge of GRN (Goods Receipt Noting).
Reconcile purchase ledger accounts to Supplier statements.
Extensive knowledge of Nominal / Departmental Coding.
Setting up Supplier accounts in the system.
Assist with year-end audit queries.
Document filing/scanning.
Any other duties that are required to support the business.
Ideal Candidate:

Qualified in Accounting or experience of working within a purchase ledger environment in a plant rental business.
Proficient in MS Office
Ability to handle Customers or situations with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Ability to process large volumes of work.
A team player, being flexible when required.
Must have excellent attention to detail.
Have good communication skills.
