Job Title: Electrical Estimator (NO ESTIMATING EXPERIENCE NEEDED)

Location: Loughton, Essex

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Role Overview:

As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase of projects by accurately estimating costs for electrical works. You will work closely with the project management and sales teams, leveraging your hands-on experience as an electrician to understand project requirements and provide detailed cost assessments. This role offers a clear pathway to advance within the company, with ongoing training and development provided.

Key Responsibilities:

* Estimating: Accurately prepare cost estimates for electrical works across a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

* Project Review: Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to understand scope and requirements.

* Supplier Engagement: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing.

* Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to clarify project details and provide updates as required.

* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges in projects and incorporate contingencies into estimates.

* Collaboration: Work closely with the project management and sales teams to support bid submissions and project planning.

* Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training to enhance your estimating skills and stay updated with industry standards and practices.

Requirements:

* Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a qualified electrician, with a solid understanding of electrical installations and systems.

* Qualifications: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (essential).

* Skills:

* Strong numerical and analytical skills.

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency with basic computer applications (experience with estimating software is a plus but not required).

* Attitude: Eager to learn, with a positive attitude towards career development and embracing new challenges.

* Location: Must be based within a commutable distance to Loughton, Essex
