Mental Health Support Worker

Salary: £13/hour

Location: WF17, Batley area of Leeds

Work hours: Full Time

Shift pattern: Hours are flexible however package requires 9am - 7pm (Day shifts) / 7pm - Midnight (Evening Shift) + Midnight - 9am (Sleep-in)

Are you an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker with a minimum of 6-months UK based healthcare experience working in the field of Acquired Brain Injury and Mental Health?

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of Yorkshire Community Healthcare who are looking for experienced Mental Health Support Workers with a compassionate and caring nature, ideally with experience in working in the field of ABI/Mental Health however full training and support will be provided to the right person. You will be providing 1-1 support to a lady in her 20s who has an acquired brain injury.

What you'll be doing:

• Build a strong and trusting relationship with the client supporting her to achieve her goals.
• Create a positive and engaging environment through companionship and social interactions.
• Accompany the client to appointments and engage in various activities in the community
• Provide guidance and support with the client's mental health, daily routines and finance management.

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• A minimum of 6-months UK based healthcare experience is essential
• Must have a valid UK driving licence, access to reliable car, business insurance and happy to transport the client in your car
• Enthusiastic and outgoing personality to connect with the client and create a positive atmosphere
• Compassionate and patient nature with excellent communication skills

Note: All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
