We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our secondary mainstream school in Swale. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching English and committed to providing high-quality education to students.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Foster a love for literature and language among students.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on their educational and personal development.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
  • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English at secondary school level.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
