We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a well-established SEN school in Lichfield that supports students with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). With students presenting various learning difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, and physical disabilities, the school prides itself on their personalised approach to education.

Role Overview:

As part of the support staff, you will work closely with students who have a variety of special educational needs, providing essential assistance in their learning and development. The role is key in helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in delivering creative and effective lessons, tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
Provide one-on-one and small group support, reinforcing learning and helping students engage with the curriculum.
Support students with personal care needs where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
Help to implement individualised learning plans, adapting your approach to suit each student's unique needs.
Contribute to the creation of a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and promotes emotional well-being.
Monitor and report on student progress, communicating regularly with teachers, parents, and relevant professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working with children or young adults with SEN is highly desirable.
A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A proactive, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting children with a wide range of needs.
