We are currently seeking skilled Shuttering Carpenters to join the busy team at the UKs newest nuclear power station build, Hinkley Point, Bridgwater.

This role is PAYE only.

Responsibilities:

· Construct and Assemble Formwork: Build and set up formwork for concrete structures, including foundations, columns, beams, and slabs.

· Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate formwork placement and alignment.

· Material Handling: Select and prepare appropriate materials, including wood and metal, for formwork construction.

· Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

· Quality Control: Inspect completed formwork to ensure it meets project specifications and standards.

· Collaboration: Work closely with other trades and construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution.

Skills/Abilities:

· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Shuttering Carpenter in the construction industry.

· Skills: Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment. Strong understanding of formwork systems and techniques.

· Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights.

· Attention to Detail: Meticulous with measurements and capable of producing high-quality work.

· Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

· Certifications: Relevant certifications in carpentry or construction are a plus.

Certifications:

· Skilled CSCS Card

· Experience in shuttering work, for major projects.

You will be required to undergo security checks for this project and can take up to 4 weeks.
