About the Role

In this role, you will be the dedicated H&S lead on a facilities management account, across multiple sites mostly in the UK. The contract covers full IFM (hard, soft, building fabric and helpdesk services, delivered currently through ~150 sub-contractors).
You will support the Operations team and Account manager to meet or exceed Client's contractual requirements and KPIs for Macro's FM Services contract across their portfolio. You will also support the FM team in ensuring that arrangements are in place to implement the company's quality, health, safety and environmental management processes on the facilities management account to meet the client contractual requirements and local laws and regulatory provisions.

Main Responsibilities

Support the facilities team with H&S matters raised via Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive supplier works within the Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.

Manage the delivery of building risk assessments (general, fire, water, air) via a specialist H&S service provider.

Manage Contractor QHSEW prequalification of existing and new suppliers and support onboarding to ensure they are instructed on Macro and Client's QHSEW values and standards.

Ensure appropriate safe systems of work in place with supply chain to manage high-risk activities (incl. Permit-to-Work, RAMS) and support operations team in monitoring the effectiveness of these.

Manage the implementation of Macro Operate QHSEW policies, procedures, guidelines and standards and ensure these are aligned with Client's requirements at local site level.

Manage account QSHEW legal compliance registers, communicate applicable changes and assure compliance in the UK & Ireland.

Assist with audits on behalf of the Client to enable their achievement of ISO standards 9001 / 14001 / 45001.

Assist in the coordination of the account annual audit and inspection schedule, undertake and provide support for Operational Audits as required.

Effectively review risk assessments and method statements from suppliers across the account providing feedback where necessary to enable improvement.

Training of Macro staff, through the different medias, in all areas of H&S to ensure competence of account team.This includes delivering a Supplier H&S Induction periodically to ensure Macro's minimum requirements are communicated to our suppliers.

Coordinate Incident Investigations, ensure all associated paperwork is completed on time, prepare alerts and action findings.

Promotion of H&S management systems to all staff including coordinating H&S meetings, forums and produce minutes as required.

Collate monthly H&S reports and other adhoc reports as required - Client and Macro.

Identify and communicate areas of improvement and best practice.

Highlight any risks that may damage Macro's or Client's reputation or financial standing, suggest mitigating actions and maintain the risk register.

Attend Macro Group QSHEW forums and meetings.

Liaise and communicate with Macro teams, site teams, supply chain and service partners.

Support Macro QHSEW department to provide more effective analysis of data to enable continual improvement and support QHSEW program improvements.

Participate to QHSEW consultancy activities as required by QHSEW Regional Lead.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

* NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.

* Experience of Facilities Management and contractor H&S management.

* Detailed knowledge of UK H&S regulations.

* Experience delivering training.

* Knowledge of statutory equipment maintenance requirements.

* Fluent English Speaker and writer.

* Ability to travel often within UK, occasionally to Ireland and occasionally other European locations to support internal audits and consultancy activities.

* Technical background in engineering or maintenance.

* ISO 9001/ 14001/ 45001 experience.

* Technical / Graduate member of IOSH status (or local equivalent).

* Good organisation, prioritisation and planning skills.

* Attention to detail and disciplined worth ethic.

* Being proactive, self-starter and a good team-worker.

* Good written, oral communication and computer skills.

* Willingness to learn, develop and grow within a rapidly growing global company
