The Role:
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will report directly to the Managing Director, taking full responsibility for the commercial management of projects ranging from £5m to £10m. Operating across multiple sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, education, and healthcare, the business offers an exciting mix of projects and challenges that will broaden your professional portfolio.

Key Duties:

* Lead the commercial delivery of projects, managing everything from tender submissions through to final accounts.

* Oversee procurement processes, negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive terms.

* Manage and assess variations, ensuring accurate costing and robust budget control throughout the project lifecycle.

* Carry out site visits to monitor progress and valuations, working closely with the project team to resolve issues and ensure works are delivered on time and within budget.

* Build and maintain strong client and subcontractor relationships, fostering collaboration and trust.

* Provide detailed cost reporting, including cash flow forecasts and risk management analysis, to safeguard project profitability.

* Collaborate with and support colleagues across the team, sharing your construction and commercial expertise to drive successful project outcomes and maintain a high-performing, professional environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

* Extensive experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally in a senior role within the construction industry.

* In-depth knowledge of JCT forms of contract and commercial management principles.

* Excellent communication skills, confident in liaising with clients, stakeholders, and site teams at all levels.
