Buy-to-Let Underwriting Manager (BTL) Key Accountabilities
- Full responsibility for designing, managing, embedding, and delivering the credit risk management framework and procedures ensuring best practise installed within the underwriting procedures.
- Deputise for Lending Operations Director as and when required
- Management and development of underwriting team to case manage loans from inception to completion.
- Ensure SLAs are maintained and exceeded
- Develop and promote clear standards of performance within underwriting which support the Company Training and Competency Policy
- Implement required training and ensure adequate records of staff training and competence are maintained
- System owner of BTL origination platform which will include helping develop effective systems and processes, providing specifications and UAT
- Mandated to approve high value loans
- Development of highly skilled and competent underwriting team and robust credit risk framework.
- Implement effective underwriting controls across all processes and procedures which minimises the risk of error and promotes compliant and robust underwriting decisions
- Internal and external quality assurance checking identifies no material issues

Buy-to-Let Underwriting Manager (BTL) Knowledge & Qualifications
- A strong understanding of FCA regulation
- Extensive experience of underwriting
- CeMAP qualified would be advantageous but is not essential
