ROLE- Design Engineer    

LOCATION- West London    

TERM- Permanent    

SALARY- £30,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience     

My client provides engineering services for Construction and Civil projects. They are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in West London on a permanent basis.    

The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
1-3 years' or more of experience in a similar Design / CAD Operation position
Experienced using 2D CAD software such as AutoCAD 
Experience with 3D CAD would also be beneficial 
Knowledge of plant/building/infrastructure design and/or construction would be beneficial 
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication and welded parts  
Ideally be Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Design, Engineering or similar
Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Proficient using MS Office
Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team
The Design Engineer role will involve:

Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
Producing fabrication drawings to bespoke requirements
Communicating directly with clients to determine requirements 
Liaising with manufacturing providers
Being involved in final assembly of products
Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
Updating 3D models and drawings
Checking drawings for sign off
Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
