Location- Home based with 1-2 days travelling per week. A central location such as Birmingham would be preferred but sites are national

Salary - £44k + Company car

We are looking to offer a Property & Facilities Manager the opportunity to join an expanding Group Property team based at home but with travel required nationally. You will be part of the senior FM & Property team for an outstanding employer who employ over 10500 people across the UK.

70% of this role will be property focussed and you will be responsible for service charge budgets, lease agreements and renewals and must therefore understand the legal aspect of property. Please note although you are home based, you will be required to travel 1-2 days per week and properties are national including Scotland, Cornwall, Leeds and Birmingham therefore if an overnight stay is required all food and expenses are covered.

You will also oversee all PPM scheduling and general maintenance and Health and Safety compliance of sites, although there will be a Facilities team supporting you.

As a Property & Facilities Manager you will be a part of our commitment to deliver what we promise for our clients, within the leading essential infrastructure services provider operating within the UK & Ireland.As the Property & Facilities manager you will be part of our Group property team who are responsible for managing the property portfolio for both existing and new properties ensuring property compliance from a lease and facilities perspective.

  • Responsibility for Property searches, engagement with agents & landlords, management and negotiation of commercial lease agreements for all Group divisions.
  • Lease management, ensuring all leases are collated and documented into the Group software system. This will Include gathering lease documentation and collating such as Schedule of condition, Dilapidation and O & M for completeness.
  • Support the development and implementation of processes to manage property and the maintenance of property supporting the Group Property & Facilities team objectives.
  • Minimise business risk by managing and monitoring property software lease information as well as Facilities management contractual arrangements and deliverables.
  • Support Budget setting and control for Commercial properties by division, surveying and implementing change requirements.
  • Maintain system processes with the wider business divisions to ensure contractual responsibilities are managed, communicated and visible to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective management of the Group Property Utilities contracts to ensure data matches that of the Group property portfolio. Also communicating Utility requirements such as meter read data is shared with contract broker for accurate billing. 1) Rationalise; 2) Opportunities (e.g. smart meters)

Experience required to be successful in your role as Property and Facilities Manager:

  • Experience of managing Commercial Property Leases.
  • Experience of lease negotiation.
  • Experience of managing Property & Facilities.
  • Experience of monitoring and managing commercial properties.
  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policy frameworks.
  • Extensive experience of collaborative working to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to understand, interpret and explain complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience of stakeholder management and relationship building.
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and resolve unexpected issues.
  • Excellent IT literacy
