Salary Negotiable + pension + 26 days holiday + bank holidays +benefits

Hours Mon - Friday day time

A genuinely superb & quite unique opportunity for a Transport Manager to join a market leading business to help setting up and shaping a department.

The Job:

* Working closely with the Warehouse and Logistics Managers ensure operations are efficient and cost effective.

* Analyse and optimize transport routes to minimize costs, time, and environmental impact.

* Collaborate with third-party transport providers, negotiating contracts and monitoring their performance.

* Work closely with the warehouse, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless coordination across departments.

* Monitor transport expenses, seek cost-saving opportunities, and prepare budgets for transport operations.

The Person:

* Experience gained in a similar role ideally working with 3PL

* Positive, friendly, good communication skills and a desire to learn, grow and develop.

* Experience in coordinating and optimizing transportation logistics, including route planning and fleet management.

* Familiarity with transport regulations and compliance standards at local, national, and international levels.

* Practical experience with transport management systems (TMS) and route optimization tools an advantage.

* May suit a transport coordinator or similar seeking a step up.
