SEN Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with Special Educational Needs in their learning and development.
  • Create a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages pupils to thrive.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to implement effective educational strategies.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.

What We Are Looking For in a SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • A SEN Teaching assistant with a genuine passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the wellbeing of all children.
