Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:
⦁ Have an active participation in engineering projects including interaction with customers & internal departments as required
⦁ Test, diagnose & rectify faults to validate products
⦁ Ensure designs meet legislative requirements
⦁ Creation of system specifications & test documentation to a high standard

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:
⦁ Minimum of 2 years' experience in Electrical CAD (AutoCAD Electrical, EPlan, SolidWorks Electrical)
⦁ Practical experience of designing & developing control & instrumentation systems
⦁ Motor Inverter drive setup for variable speed applications
⦁ Knowledge of any of the following advantageous:
- industrial communication protocols e.g. ProfiNET, EtherNetIP, EtherCAT
- Industrial wiring & switchgear, design & selection techniques
- Industrial sensors e.g. encoders, transducers
- Control loop design e.g. PID
- ATEX & EMC standards & design
- Electrical legislation & compliance techniques UKCA, CE, UL, CSA

Located in Northampton, this role would be commutable from Coventry, Northampton, Kettering & Rugby.

Role would also suit an experienced electrical design engineer or a control engineer who enjoys hardware as part of their role. The position can be combined with PLC software for the right candidate.
