Team Manager - Transforming the future for autistic young people with complex needs

Location: Priors Court Road, Hermitage, Thatcham RG18 9NU (Driver Essential)
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per year
Hours: 37 hours per week | Early (7 AM - 4 PM) & Late (2 PM - 10 PM) shifts | 1 in 3 weekends.

Are you an experienced support worker ready to step into a leadership role? Do you want to make a real impact in the lives of autistic children and young people?

At Priors Court, we provide a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children with autism and additional learning needs. We are a registered Charity providing education and residential care for autistic young people with complex needs. As we expand with a new children's home, we are looking for dedicated Team Managers to lead our staff, mentor practitioners, and create a home-like space for up to six children in each residence.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leading & Mentoring - Support a team of up to 9 staff, conduct monthly check-ins, and oversee training
Providing Hands-On Care - Assist with personal care, meals, and structured daily routines
Ensuring Compliance - Maintain risk assessments, health & safety checks, and This Is Me care plans
Creating a Home-Like Environment - Help children feel safe, valued, and engaged

What Makes You a Great Fit?

Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
2+ years' experience in autism/learning disability support
Previous experience managing or mentoring a team (preferred)
Proactive, compassionate, and resilient
Creative approach to engagement - whether it's face painting, outdoor adventures, or sensory play
