Our client is a privately owned independent freight forwarder, specialising in offering global freight forwarding solutions by air, sea and road.

We are now recruiting at the Manchester location based Manchester Airport for an Air Freight Imports Coordinator

Your role will involve the full freight imports cycle. You will take bookings, handle imports quotations, and liaise with customers, airlines, in order to ensure timely delivery of freight, completing customs entries for imports

Main duties and responsibilities

* Receive pre-alerts
* Upload bookings into system, create file
* Complete import entries in compliance with HMRC rules and to the satisfaction of the client.
* Ensure correct tariff codes are used for Customs Entry including Home Use / CFSP / IPR entry and others.
* Communicate regularly with import clients / overseas agents to meet their requirements
* Monitor arrival of cargo
* Ensure Import Cargo has been customs cleared and delivered to the client in a smooth manner avoiding storage charges if possible.
* To check cost accruals / revenues are input correctly on the Import Files and NET Freight. Query with suppliers if charges are incorrect
* Invoicing

In order to apply for this role you will have a freight forwarding air freight imports background and have handled air freight imports from start to finish

Salary and Benefits

£28,000 to £33,000
