About the Role

We're currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Team Leader to join a well-established children's residential home in Westcliff-on-Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive organisation committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care for young people with complex needs, autism, and emotional/behavioural challenges.

As Team Leader, you'll work closely with the Home Manager to support the day-to-day running of the home, lead shifts, support staff, and ensure that the young people in your care are safe, respected, and empowered to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

*

Lead, support, and mentor care staff on shift

*

Ensure the physical, emotional, and social needs of young people are met

*

Manage risk assessments, care plans, and safeguarding concerns

*

Contribute to a nurturing, structured, and positive home environment

*

Ensure compliance with OFSTED standards and Children's Home Regulations

*

Act as a positive role model and advocate for the young people

What We're Looking For

*

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential childcare setting

*

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent - essential)

*

Experience supervising or leading a team in a care environment

*

Strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour management & trauma-informed care

*

Passionate about making a difference in young people's lives

*

Flexible and committed to working a range of shifts
