I'm partnering with a successful, innovative bakery business that's on the lookout for a skilled Controls Engineer to join their growing team. This company is well-known for producing high-quality baked goods and is committed to staying at the forefront of production technology. They're looking for someone with a passion for automation and controls to help drive the efficiency and reliability of their production processes.
About the Role
As the Controls Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring the bakery's production lines run smoothly and efficiently. You'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising automated systems across a range of bakery equipment. This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a high-paced, exciting environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and troubleshooting control systems for automated bakery equipment to ensure smooth production.
- Programming and configuring PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems to optimise efficiency.
- Collaborating with production and maintenance teams to identify areas for improvement and system upgrades.
- Managing automation projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and control schematics.
- Staying up to date with the latest in control systems and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
