Job Title: Forklift Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of forklift trucks and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills, and will be committed to delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a wide range of forklift trucks (electric, diesel, LPG).
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
Carry out thorough inspections and provide detailed reports on the condition of equipment.
Customer Service:
Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear communication with customers regarding the status of repairs and any additional work required.
Respond promptly to service calls and ensure timely resolution of issues.
Offer professional advice on equipment maintenance and potential upgrades.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work carried out.
Complete all required documentation, including service reports, job sheets, and parts requisitions.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Parts & Inventory:
Identify required replacement parts and liaise with the parts department to ensure availability.
Manage stock levels of commonly used parts and tools in the service vehicle.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with the Service Manager and other engineers to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service delivery.
Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up to date with new technologies and service techniques
