About Our Client:
Our client is a specialist hire company with a unique, consultative approach to managing environmental risks. They provide tailored solutions in dust control, fume extraction, ventilation, noise barriers, water treatment, environmental monitoring, and climate control. As a Yard Operative, you'll support their Dartford team in ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service to clients.

Role Overview:
As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the smooth day-to-day operations within the yard. You'll be involved in receiving and checking equipment, maintaining a clean and organised yard, and assisting in preparing equipment for dispatch. This role requires someone proactive, who takes pride in maintaining high standards and has a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

* Equipment Handling: Receive, inspect, and store equipment safely and accurately.

* Preparation for Dispatch: Prepare and load equipment for dispatch to clients.

* Washing Down Equipment: Clean and wash down pumps and other equipment within the designated tented enclosure.

* Goods Receiving and Preparing for Return: Receive goods from hire, inspect, clean, and prepare them for the next rental.

* Stock Control: Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or damages.

* Maintenance: Regularly clean, organise, and maintain yard spaces to ensure a safe working environment.

* Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety procedures to maintain a secure and hazard-free yard.

* Record Keeping: Accurately log all movements of equipment, ensuring all records are up-to-date.

* Collaboration: Work closely with the team to improve efficiencies and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

* Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

* Skills: Ability to work efficiently and independently; basic understanding of health and safety protocols.

* Physical Fitness: Able to carry out manual work, including lifting and moving equipment.

* Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

* Transportation: Able to access the Dartford location via public transport if needed.
