Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer looking to join one of the worlds most respected consultancies? We have the great opportunity to work on-site and in the office.

Our client is looking for an experienced, motivated Mechanical Design Engineer seeking to develop their career in a positive environment and join our team where talent is encouraged and growth opportunities unrivalled. This role will be based in Plymouth. And will be 4 longer days on site, with a shorter day on the Friday either based at home or in the Plymouth office.

The Role

The opportunity will require applicants to lead and deliver a wide range of technical design packages. An ideal candidate will have excellent team skills, working closely with other designers/disciplines whilst being imbedded on-site.

You will be focused on:

Delivery of engineering solutions for large-scale packages of work.
Undertake Design following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
Production of all technical deliverables including client presentation and engagement.
Preparation of briefs, scopes of work, and develop fee/bid proposals.
Management of internal design resource in producing elements of the design.
Engagement with internal and third-party specialists and resources.
Engagement with suppliers and manufacturers to establish appropriate solutions.
Review and verification of design practices and technical solutions as part of a wider team.
Attendance at internal and external co-ordination, progress, and design review meetings.
 
Ideally, this person would have experience with MOD projects, plus relevant past experience within Building Services/Mechanical Engineering.
