Job OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires excellent driving skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and service. As a Van Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre use vehicle checks to ensure safety
• Follow instructed procedure for loading and unloading items.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
• Follow procedures for deliveries at the customer premises.
• Complete daily route as instructed

Requirements

• Category B licence held for minimum of 2 years
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and handle unexpected situations.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed.
• A good understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.

This position will run from 30th October through to the beginning of January - there may be the potential for this to extend to mid January. The successful applicants will be required to work Monday - Friday (min 8 hours per shift) and Saturday mornings (hours worked)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 2 months

Pay: £11.45-£16.69 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
