The Role

To design and optimise process plant and equipment. This includes core process equipment and balance of plant. Experience of CHP systems, pressurised gas, chemical process plant, hydrogen, pressure systems, pipework, etc is very much preferred

You will work closely with the Engineering Director to design, develop and test concepts for core plant and sub-systems. You will be respnsinle for sizing equipment and creating specifications of equipment for vendors, creating drawings and design files, perfomring engineering calculations to ensure specifications are met, selection of suppliers and liaising with vendors, assiting with assembly of plant, maintaining design files, leading on fault / non-conformance investigations.

Requirements

  • A degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar OR proven work experience in a related field
  • Proven engineering design and development experience
  • Not content to accept the status quo
  • Experience in relevant software packages for drawings creation and management (e.g. SolidWorks and AutoCAD 3D)
  • ATEX understanding / experience
  • Experience generating CE/UKCA files.
