We currently have exciting opportunities for Production Operative (FLT Certificate Required) temporary role to join the team in Flixton - Bungay
The hours of work and shift patterns are:
- week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 5am -3:30pm
- week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday – 5am -3:30pm
- Week 3: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday – 5am -3:30pm
The rates of pay are: £12.84ph
Main Responsibilities: Our Production Operatives (FLT Certificate Required) temporary role will be responsible for:
- Correctly and effectively carrying out the required functions, once trained to do so, in the cutting hall
- General operative duties on the line as required
- Ensuring that all areas of training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality are adhered to
- Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and presentation during working hours
- Keeping the working area clean and tidy.
- Load vehicles.
- Unload vehicles.
- Check consignments.
- Ensure any discrepancies are identified and recorded.
- Keep accurate and legible records.
- Be trained to operate a forklift truck or electric palletiser and pump truck
- Convey wrapped pallets to floor scales for weighing.
- Ensure correct pallet segregation
- To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the factory and unit
- Manual Handling/ loading and unloading trailers
Ideal Candidate: The successful candidate will:
- Valid FLT license essential (counterbalance forklift)
- Have the ability to meet targets i.e. productivity, quality hygiene and waste.
- Work as part of a team and effectively communicate with all colleagues and Management staff
- Be thorough and methodical
- Be self-motivated
- Maintain high personal standards
- Be comfortable working with raw meat in a chilled and pressurised environment
