EMPLOYMENT ADVISOR/EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT

This is an exciting and varied mixed role.

12 months maternity cover - possibility of leading to a permanent position.

Location - Leeds (working 1 day from home and 4 days from the Leeds office)

JOB ROLE:

Employment Advisor duties

* To deliver high quality end to end Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) while participants are on programme. Start at Induction.

* To promote and develop participants mind-set, self-confidence, and motivation so that they succeed in their journey into work.

* To coach participants on a one to one and group basis delivering a range of supportive interventions to help them achieve sustainable employment.

* To support participants in preparing CVs, covering letters and job/apprenticeship applications and gain interviews for live vacancies.

* To support participants with interview preparation, skills, and techniques preparing them to a high standard to succeed in job interviews.

* To facilitate and support job search with the participants using relevant online job sites.

* To short list, pre-select, and match/submit participants to work opportunities generated by our Employer Engagement Team.

* To successfully place participants from a range of target groups into career focused employment or education opportunities.

* To engage and maintain regular contact with participants delivering high quality In Work Support at agreed intervals to ensure they sustain their job or apprenticeship/training for a minimum of six months.

* To support the delivery of any events, job fairs, workshops and/or training courses that support operational targets.

* To ensure that timely input and communication of key documents, evidence and information is achieved ensuring contractual compliance is maintained

Employer Engagement duties

* Making outbound calls and arranging new business appointments to visit potential clients in Leeds and West Yorkshire face to face in person or virtually.

* Speaking to decision makers at all levels.

* Persuading employers to take on trained candidates seeking work in security, warehouse, construction, forklift drivers who are work ready.

* Taking the vacancy details from the clients and promoting the opportunities to the candidates.

* Making sure the candidates turn up for interviews and following this up.

* Checking with the candidates to see how settling into the job roles.

* Responsible for gaining new clients and then managing those accounts.

* Selling courses, traineeships, apprenticeships, AEB. Delivering on leads through the sales cycle to successful closure

* Convert leads into sales opportunities.

* Using social media platforms, email marketing tools.

REQUIREMENTS

* Previous experience of exceeding monthly and quarterly targets.

* Able to communicate effectively with people from a wide age range, backgrounds, and cultures.

* Demonstrates ability to develop and maintain good links and relationships with relevant organisations.

* Able to work effectively and constructively in a fast-moving environment.

* Excellent planning and organisational skills experienced at managing own caseloads.

* Self-motivated with an attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

CPD ON OFFER

* IAG qualification (Level 3 or above) or is committed to achieving within 6 months of appointment to the role

* Knowledge and understanding of relevant funding streams e.g., European Social Fund, Adult Education Budget.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Up to £27,500 per annum

Full Time - Monday-Friday, 8.30 am-5:00pm, with 1 day working from home.

Will consider Part Time.

Day holiday for Birthday, plus an additional 25 days + stats = 34 days per annum.
