About the company:

My client have been established as a housebuilder for over 60 years and currently have regional office bases throughout the UK. They are recognised as the highest quality major national housebuilder, having been awarded an exclusive '5 Star Housebuilder Award' by the Homebuilders Federation. Projects to date range vastly in terms of specification and construction technique dependant on the location of the regional office. Major projects include multi-unit RC frame structures in Central London as well as town and village regeneration and low rise traditional build housing.

About the opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team and take on the following responsibilities:

* Identify client needs and project requirements.

* Research materials, equipment, and labour costs.

* Gather quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.

* Assess project risks and mitigation strategies.

* Analyse company data, exchange rates, and pricing using software tools.

* Monitor project costs against estimates and budgets, identifying variances.

* Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, tender submissions, and correspondence with suppliers and subcontractors.

About the benefits and rewards:

The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £75k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.

About the requirements:

* Proven experience in construction estimating; formal training or qualifications are preferred.

* Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials.

* Traditional build expereince

* Ability to work clearly and accurately under pressure.

* Excellent communication and organizational skills.

* Proficient in Maths, English, and IT.
