Your new companyThis Primary School in Liverpool is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team, working in their Key Stage 1 class. This will be a full-time role, and you will have the opportunity to go permanent. This role will start after the half-term or starting in September.Your new roleThe school is seeking a Teaching Assistant for pupils of primary age who require some extra assistance in core curriculum subjects with a view to achieving required outcome results by using intervention strategies. You will be required to work with pupils in the main classroom or work with smaller groups and occasional 1:1 where required, some pupils who you will work with may need guidance in their behaviour and concentration as well as their academic work.

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this Teaching Assistant job, you will hold a Level 3 or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification, and have at least 6 months reference-able experience of working in a primary school in the last 2 years. A proven record in managing challenging behaviour and supporting children to understand the route of their frustrations is essential,

• Ability to engage with pupils of varying ages and abilities
• Experience of working on a one-to-one basis with pupils
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• A flexible, adaptable approach to work
