Furniture Sprayer/Finisher - Job Description

Hours: minimum 40 hours per week

Salary: £18-22 per hour depending on experience

- Company Overview

We are a bespoke furniture joinery company based in Bethnal Green, E2, providing custom fitted furniture to both domestic and commercial customers across London. Our primary products include kitchens, wardrobes, commercial cabinetry, and other bespoke joinery items. Our client base includes professionals, established designers, main contractors, and high-end users. Due to our high-quality products and services, we have experienced growth over the last 12 months and recently moved to a new, larger workshop where we have invested in bringing all aspects of production in-house.

Our team currently consists of a Managing Director, Project Manager, Joinery CAD Designer, Workshop Manager/Head Joiner, Workshop team members, a Spray Finisher, and Accounts personnel.

- Role Overview

In a nutshell: The spray finisher is responsible for applying finishing products to all of our work. A high standard of work and attention to detail is required to ensure the work leaves the workshop in consistently perfect condition.

- Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation: Sand, fill, and prime as required to prepare work.

2. Spraying: Mix paints and spray the work; familiarity with different finishes including PU and acrylic paints and lacquers is essential.

3. Hand Finishing: Hand application of finishing products such as soils and stains.

4. Wrapping: Meticulously wrap the work, ensuring it's protected and will arrive for installation in perfect condition.

5. Booth Maintenance: Keep the booth and surrounding area clean and tidy.

6. Inventory: Monitor levels of consumable items and communicate when orders need to be made.

- Skills and Experience

- At least 3 years of experience with spraying furniture.

- An understanding of joinery production.

- Ability to read CAD joinery drawings.
