The Role:

As a Year 1 teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and stimulating classroom environment. You will work closely with your colleagues to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the Early Years and Key Stage 1 curriculum, and a passion for working with young children.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners in Year 1
Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching practices
Support the pastoral development of students, promoting positive behaviour and well-being
Engage with parents and carers to ensure strong home-school partnershipsThe Ideal Candidate:

A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience of teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1
A passion for working with young children and helping them to achieve their best
Strong classroom management skills
The ability to inspire and motivate students
A creative and adaptable approach to teaching
Sound understanding of the current Code of Practice for SEND and principles of inclusion
