Software Developer
Location: Dublin - hybrid

Are you ready to join a forward-thinking team in the insurance and financial services industry? Our client, a leading player in this sector, is looking for a Software Developer to drive the development and enhancement of critical business systems.

About the role: 

This role will involve everything from building new systems and features to implementing best practices and consulting with internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain systems that evolve with the business needs
• Lead the implementation of upgrades and new system features
• Consult with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet program objectives
• Generate standard and ad-hoc reports for management
• Ensure the application of best practices in software engineering, security, and change management

And Your Background:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in Visual Studio (VB.Net or C#) and SQL Server
• Experience with reporting solutions (e.g., SSRS, Report Viewer) and web services
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, Agile methodologies, and Microsoft desktop products
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and source control (TFS, GIT) is desirable
• Previous experience in financial services is an advantage
