Production Technician (Electrical Bias)

Location: Bury St. Edmunds
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexible) + Overtime Available

Compass Point Recruitment is seeking a Production Technician with an electrical bias to join a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in wiring, soldering, and assembling equipment or other small- and large-scale electronic/mechanical systems.

The successful candidate will be involved in the assembly, testing, and maintenance of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble, wire, and solder scientific and industrial equipment to precise specifications.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical testing to ensure functionality and quality compliance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and connection issues.
• Work from technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions to assemble products accurately.
• Assist in quality control inspections and ensure all components meet required standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring health and safety regulations are met.
• Collaborate with the production team to improve assembly processes and efficiency.

Requirements:
• Previous experience in wiring, soldering, or electrical assembly within a production or engineering environment.
• Understanding of electrical schematics, circuits, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to work with small and large-scale electronic/mechanical components.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
