Our client, a well-established business based across the UK and they are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in transactional finance.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial transactions of our client's business. Your responsibilities will include everything from checking completion statements to posting bills and handling monies received by clients. You will also be tasked with performing bank reconciliations and completing various compliance checks. Your ability to liaise effectively with solicitors, resolve internal queries, and provide support to the wider Finance team will be key to your success in this role.

  • Manage the day-to-day running of client accounts
  • Ensure completion statements are checked thoroughly
  • Responsible for posting bills and monies received by clients
  • Perform bank reconciliations regularly
  • Complete compliance, money laundering, and fraud checks diligently
  • Check ledger statements meticulously
  • Transfer monies between accounts as required
  • Liaise with solicitors to assist them when necessary
  • Resolve queries for internal departments efficiently
  • Assist the Finance team as required

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Assistant position will bring a wealth of experience from previous roles within finance departments. You will have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to deliver high levels of customer service consistently. Attention to detail is paramount in this role, as you will be dealing with important financial transactions daily. Lastly, being a strong team player is essential as you will be working closely with other members of the Finance team.

  • Proven experience working within a finance department is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages; Outlook, Word, and Excel is required
