About the role:

As one of the school's Teaching Assistants you will be responsible for delivering consistent academic, pastoral,

and behavioural support to our pupils. You will be assigned a class of 6 pupils to work with but will also support pupils across the school throughout the day and as required.

It is an exciting time for Arc School Old Arley, we are currently developing a unique vocational offer and curriculum for pre-16 pupils with SEMH needs. Anyone joining our team in the coming months will be doing so at a pivotable point in the school's improvement.

About you:

You will be an experienced Teaching Assistant, preferably with experience across both mainstream and specialist teaching settings. You will be well practiced at supporting pupils with special educational needs and SEMH requirements.

You will be adept at tailoring your approach and support to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.

You will be able to set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils as well as promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.

You will possess good subject and curriculum knowledge and will be able to use this knowledge to support pupils both in and outside of the main classroom. You will provide levels of care and support appropriate to the general needs of the children and those outlined in their EHCP's and individualised plans.

About Us:

Arc School Old Arley, part of Kedleston Group, is an independent specialist day school near Nuneaton, for children and young people aged between the ages of 7 and 16.
