An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Mental Health Inpatient Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in an NHS hospital setting. This role is available for an immediate start, offering flexible working hours and a competitive pay rate.

Location: South London
Start Date: ASAP
Hourly Pay Rate: £24 - £26 per hour (via umbrella)
Weekly Hours: 26 hours per week (up to 4 days, flexible on which days)
Contract Type: Temporary, with the possibility of extension
Setting: NHS Hospital
Role Overview: The successful candidate will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to adult inpatients within a mental health setting. They will work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, delivering patient-centred interventions aimed at improving their independence and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and mental health needs.
Develop and implement individual treatment plans tailored to each patient.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
Promote independence and recovery-focused goals through therapeutic activities.
Provide expert advice and support to staff and patients in relation to mental health and well-being.
Document patient progress and treatment outcomes in line with NHS standards.
The Ideal Candidate:

HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
Proven experience working in mental health settings, ideally within inpatient services.
Excellent communication, assessment, and time-management skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
A compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.
