ROLE: Multi Skilled Operative

LOCATION: Commutable from Rushden/Higham/Wellingborough/Kettering/Raunds

HOURS OF WORK: Days

BASIC SALARY: £13 - £15 per hour

Our client is seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join their friendly and family run organisation based in Irthlingborough on a permanent basis. If you are hands-on, practical, and looking to be part of a growing company in the timber construction industry we'd love to hear from you. My client are a well-established manufacturer of high-quality timber frames and are on the lookout for a reliable and skilled Multi Skilled Operative to join their workshop team.

In this Multi Skilled Operative role, you will be responsible for:

* Operate saws and cutting equipment to prepare timber components accurately and efficiently

* Measure and cut lengths of timber according to technical drawings and build specifications

* Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machinery to ensure smooth operation

* Safely operate a forklift to load completed orders for dispatch and unload incoming deliveries

* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

To be successful as a Multi Skilled Operative you will have:

* Previous experience in a similar workshop or manufacturing environment preferred

* To be mechanically minded and have a general interest in engineering and manufacturing

* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical measurements accurately

* Understanding of machine maintenance and safe workshop practices

* Forklift experience essential (license not required in-house training given)

* A team player with a good work ethic and a proactive attitude
