Maintenance Manager in London needed for fantastic Opportunity. We are seeking an experienced and well-organised Maintenance Manager to oversee the smooth running of a multi-use facility in central London. This role involves managing day-to-day maintenance, coordinating with external contractors, and ensuring the premises remain safe, efficient, and well-presented at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out regular maintenance tasks and minor repairs
  • Overseeing external contractors for specialist works, refurbishments, and servicing
  • Acting as the first point of contact for maintenance issues, both routine and emergency
  • Monitoring the condition of the building through regular inspections
  • Supporting planned works and contributing to ongoing improvements across the site
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and functionality throughout the building
  • Managing supplier relationships and ensuring value for money on services provided
  • Maintaining accurate records for health and safety and statutory compliance
  • Ensuring the site operates in line with current health and safety legislation
  • Contributing to sustainability efforts by identifying ways to reduce waste and environmental impact
  • Assisting with other building management tasks as needed, including porterage and general support

About You

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or building management role is essential
  • Strong practical skills with the ability to carry out a range of repairs
  • Confident overseeing contractors and ensuring work is completed to a high standard
  • Good understanding of building systems, maintenance planning, and health and safety regulations
  • Well-organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with clients, staff, or suppliers
  • Familiarity with record-keeping systems and Microsoft Office
  • A facilities management qualification is beneficial but not essential
  • Flexibility to respond to occasional out-of-hours issues
