Aim of the Role
The Junior PMO Analyst role forms part of a small PMO team, who work in conjunction with a dynamic team of Project Managers, Provisioners, Engineers and wider business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of services to our customers. The team are responsible for the production of reports and analysing the data behind those reports.
Whilst junior in title, this role has a high profile across the business and will interact with colleagues at all levels. They will have the tenacity to manage situations and co-ordinate activities to resolve issues as well as being proactive in identifying potential problems and recommending solutions to resolve them.
They will be allocated tasks and internal projects by the Head of Programme Office and Senior PMO Analyst; these will vary in size and complexity and will involve a high degree of accuracy. They can expect coaching and guidance on our systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Duties will include, but are not restricted to the following:
- Data management & reporting: You will produce daily, weekly, monthly reporting and board presentations, using Power BI, Excel and Powerpoint. You will work with key stakeholders and project delivery teams to develop, build and produce ad-hoc reports as and when required. You will analyse complex data sets and present this analysis to the Head of Programme Office and Head of Delivery. You are responsible for the accuracy of data within business applications and 3rd party software tools and will pro-actively seek out discrepancies.
- Initiate & plan: You are responsible for managing incoming project requests.You will ensure the sales team provide sufficient information to complete the sales order and will allocate the project to the most suitable resource. You will participate in resource planning meetings and are expected to raise concerns and offer solutions relating to resource.
- Customer satisfaction: You will be involved in setting up governance processes that are valuable and not onerous
- Process & delivery: You will support project teams in evaluating current and new business processes. Ensuring implementation of policies and practices. You will produce and deliver training material and own the storage location of all Delivery process documentation
- Innovation: you will seek out and drive forward opportunities for improvement within the PMO and broader delivery team with a a strong focus on continual improvement. You will be involved in testing new and existing business tools and collating new ideas from the delivery teams
- Administration: You are expected to complete a number of administrative tasks on a daily basis until such time that they become automated. This involves keying data and completing updates in our business systems.
- Wellbeing: You will risk assess the workload of yourself and others. Identify solutions and support colleagues in times of need. Help build positive relations within the Delivery team and the broader company
- Personal development & innovation: You will identify opportunities to contribute to wider business initiatives. You will identify opportunities for personal training and development to drive innovation
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be a bright and enthusiastic individual who is dedicated to achieving great results, they will ideally have the following skills, attributes and experience:
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills are essential. Awareness of PowerBI and a desire to develop in this area is expected. Experience with other MS Office and O365 Applications including Planner and Sharepoint is useful but not essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels within the business
- Professional, positive, confident and friendly
- Highly self-motivated with a willingness to learn and respond positively to feedback
- Ability to work well under pressure within a busy environment and prioritise tasks accordingly
- Detail-oriented, efficient and committed to delivering high quality work
- An interest in data and data analysis would be an advantage
This role would suit an individual with a business or similar degree, business analyst experience or someone who can evidence working in a similar role/environment over a number of years, however the personal attributes above are just as important to us
On Site Attendance
- Ideally the candidate should be able to commute to our Harrogate office.
- There is likely to be occasional travel to our Reading, York and London offices
- Redcentric has a hybrid working policy. The expectation is that the role will require face to face interaction in the office 2 days per week.
