Financial Accountant - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Accountable Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a dynamic international PE-backed organisation seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Role Overview:

Salary/Benefits:

- Competitive salary ranging from £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

- Hybrid working

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Group Financial Controller with the month-end close process and production of monthly management account balance sheet reconciliations.

- Ensure the maintenance of a robust financial control environment.

- Prepare regulatory and other financial compliance returns, managing any related inquiries.

- Handle routine tax compliance returns for VAT, including the weekly review of tax codes.

- Support the preparation of year-end group accounts and the audit process.

- Aid in the production of year-end group reporting.

- Assist the Group Financial Controller with stakeholder requests as needed.

Reporting Line:

You will report directly to the Group Financial Controller.

Ideal Candidate:

- ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant

- Proven experience in a year-end focused Financial Accountant role

- Advanced Excel skills, capable of handling bulk data/system exports and utilising appropriate formulas.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels within the business.

- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

- Highly organised, able to manage a wide variety of tasks and meet continual tight deadlines.

- Experience working with external advisers is a plus
