ANZUK Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the educational journey of students, while also teaching Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE) to support their well-being and personal development.

About the Role:

As a Religious Education (RE) Teacher with a secondary focus on PSHE, you will:

* Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 in Religious Education.

* Develop students' understanding of various world religions, ethical issues, and philosophical ideas.

* Deliver PSHE lessons to promote students' personal development, mental health, and well-being.

* Encourage critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and personal reflection among students.

* Provide pastoral support and be involved in school initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Teach RE and PSHE effectively, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.

* Support the academic, personal, and emotional development of all students.

* Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring that every student reaches their potential.

* Work closely with colleagues to develop an integrated curriculum approach across both subjects.

* Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and school events.

* Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians to ensure the academic and social progress of students.

Requirements:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Proven experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stage 3 and 4.

* Experience or a willingness to teach PSHE, with a passion for supporting students' well-being.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
