About The Nursing Home

Xealthcare are currently recruiting for a care team leader to join our clients wonderful nursing home on a permanent, full-time contract to cover day shifts. Located around 7 miles from Mansfield city centre.

Our clients modern and friendly 40-bed nursing home provides personal care of the highest possible quality for both short-term and long-term residential care for elderly residents and those living with dementia. This care home has an overall 'GOOD' rating by CQC.

Position: Healthcare Team Leader

As a care Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of healthcare assistants to ensure the provision of high-quality care and assistance to our clients' residents. In addition to the responsibilities of a care assistant and senior care assistant, you will oversee the daily operations of the care team, coordinate care plans, and act as a point of contact for the residents and their families. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and make a positive impact on the well-being of our clients' residents.

This role would also be ideal for an experienced and motivated senior care assistant who is eager to take the step into a care team leader position.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leading and supervising a team of Healthcare Assistants.

* Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.

* Administering medication in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.

* Supporting residents with daily activities, such as meal preparation, eating, and mobility.

* Monitoring and recording residents' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.

* Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.

* Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.

* Collaborating effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.

Requirements:

* Minimum of NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care required, candidates who are working towards this are also encouraged to apply.

* Prior experience in a care setting or similar role is preferred.

* Compassionate and empathetic nature with a genuine interest in the well-being of elderly individuals.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Strong leadership abilities and the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

* Respect for privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
