We have an opening for a Head of Major Projects based from our Bristol offices.

The role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of major development projects and schemes across the southwest region.

The Head of Major Projects will lead and implement strategies for the delivery of each project, ensuring the appointment of appropriately skilled project teams to define budget, design, risk manage, obtain planning and procure contractors to deliver successful ambitious projects. 

What we're looking for:

• A role model of SNG's values and leadership behaviours, fostering an environment of trust, transparency, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.
• Ability to manage large complex development programmes of work and navigating diverse environments.
• Track record of taking multiple projects through planning, procurement to completion; creating teams to evolve the project and teams to manage the project once established.
• Knowledge of housing development regulatory requirements.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience of driving innovative approaches to new deals and acquisitions.
• Working knowledge of commercial property design, specification, lease terms and investment returns.
• Strong experience of effective procurement of external contractors and consultants through tender or frameworks.
• Relevant experience in the delivery of housing projects with a strong knowledge of affordable housing.
• Strong understanding of the commercial markets and commercial practices relevant to delivering new developments.
