About The Role

We are currently looking for a Workshop Fitter to join our Dartford Branch. Working within a small, experienced team, you will be responsible for carrying out diesel engine and pump maintenance. Performing repairs, servicing, or preventative maintenance, on a fleet of diesel pumps and a range of mechanical and non-mechanical ancillary equipment.

For this role there is a requirement to have your own standard tools, anything specialised will be provided for you to use, to enable you to carry out the tasks required successfully. Due to the location of this branch, you will need your own transport to be able to get to and from the branch.

Key Responsibilities

* Thoroughly inspect pump rental equipment after being returned from client hires and carry out any repairs to the equipment as needed / directed including any fault finding and diagnostic / investigative work where required.

* Conduct regular servicing on pump rental fleet equipment as needed and directed.

* Ensure all work carried out is to manufacturer's specifications and requirements and is carried out as effectively and efficiently as possible.

* Carry out all work in accordance with all Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations and requirements that Selwood adhere to including wearing relevant PPE at all applicable times.

* Put forward proposals for modifications and improvements to machines equipment or processes.

* Ensure necessary administration and paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.

Essential Qualifications

* NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or mechanical qualification.

* Full driving license is preferred.

* Experience in, plant maintenance, diesel pumps or mechanical work.
