Mobile Plumber/Mechanical Engineer

Location: Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Surrounding Counties
Salary: £43,000 per annum + Benefits
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Call Out Rota: 1 in 5 weeks (£100 standby)
Overtime: Available

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Plumber/Mechanical Engineer to work across hospitals, commercial offices, and police stations in Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and surrounding counties. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform reactive and planned maintenance on mechanical and plumbing systems.

* Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across a range of commercial and healthcare sites.

* Install, inspect, and maintain heating, ventilation, and plumbing systems.

* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards.

* Work within set SLAs and KPIs to provide a high level of service.

* Complete accurate documentation and reports on maintenance tasks.

* Participate in the call-out rota (1 in 5 weeks).

Requirements:

* Qualified plumber or mechanical engineer (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).

* Experience in commercial or healthcare environments preferred.

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

* Full UK driving licence.

* Ability to pass a DBS clearance (no criminal record)
